I'd like to present you all with a truly special piece that was altered from a design I originally made from the heart for someone very special to me that I have such strong feelings for. She unfortunately did not feel the same or care for me and ended up leaving my life entirely.

The original design used the original and unedited photographs of flowers I grew in my garden; I wanted to keep the flowers on the original dress unedited because I wanted it to be a symbol of our natural growth, connection and love. 

The Pink English Rose bloom resembled a heart and I thought it was a perfect symbol of our blossoming connection and the deep love that I felt growing for her - and in a way to represtent some of the beauty I found in her body and spirit as well. I would just smile every time I heard her voice or saw her smile :)

The baby/light Pink Hardy Hibiscus was chosen because one of her favourite colours is baby pink and I also chose it to represent the spiritual growth she made me feel and that I wanted to create a life with her.

Ultimately, since the relationship didn't work out though I felt compelled and moved to embrace my heartache rather than run from it. So I am sharing my story, my love, my pain, my suffering and a moment of my life with you through my design—but i didn't want to make the original design less significant, I want it to still be special to her and this decision to embrace my heartache isn't something I would have naturally done in the past, so I edited the photos to balance with each other more. The original rose was a stark contrast and I had thought it was a great way of symbolizing the budding love separate from all the other blooms.  

Anyway that is my story for this piece, I hope you enjoy the story and beauty of this dress as much I enjoyed my time and memories with her. ❤️
